He is widely regarded as one of the most internationally recognized and commercially successful actors in the history of Indian cinema. Born in New Delhi, India, Khan studied at Hansraj College, University of Delhi, received theatre training under Barry John, and later pursued Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia.
