Natsuko, a clerk at a mid-sized publishing company, is having an affair with her editor, Ooba, when she asks him out on a date the following Sunday, but he turns her down. Ooba is married. Later, Ooba tells Natsuko to return the manuscript of an unsuccessful writer, Tsuda, and he invites her to a bar...
