Found footage of a Montreal girl’s trip turns sinister as the textures and unnatural rhythms of VHS are haunted by half-remembered nightmares from the past. With SHITTING A PENIS, Sam Morgan transforms a found object into a dark and uncomfortable exploration of memory and identity. In an era of image overabundance, what happens to what has been recorded?
