In the 1960s, teenagers suffered from Beatlemania, in the noughties Tokio Hotel polarized an entire generation, today Justin Bieber melts teen hearts. Ever since Frank Sinatra, fans have been as much a part of pop culture as the stars themselves. Whereas in the past they were mocked and labeled as hysterical or even fanatical, today fans are proving to be an inexhaustible source of creativity.
