Storyline

On the eve of the PLA's launch of the cross-river campaign, Kuomintang battalion commander Huang Huai'en led his troops to retreat to the south of the Yangtze River at the Chu's Ferry where it was stationed. Before leaving, he told the landlord Chu boss that he would marry He Hua, the daughter of the Chu family, and left an ancestral jade bracelet as a token.
