Biography

Сергей Владимирович Михалков - советский русский писатель, поэт, баснописец, драматург, публицист, военный корреспондент, сценарист, общественный деятель, автор текстов гимнов Советского Союза и Российской Федерации, председатель Союза писателей РСФСР, а с 1992 по 2008 - председатель Международного сообщества писательских союзов. Родился в городе Москва, Российская Империя. Заслуженный деятель искусств РСФСР (1967). Наибольшую известность Михалкову принесли его произведения для детей. Герой Социалистического Труда, лауреат Ленинской (1970), трёх Сталинских премий второй степени (1941, 1942, 1950) и Государственной премии СССР (1978), академик Российской Академии образования, кавалер ордена Святого апостола Андрея Первозванного. Депутат Верховного Совета СССР 8-11 созывов (1970-1989). Член КПСС с 1950 года.
